Fruit Syrup

1 cup cold water
1 1/2 Tbsp cornstarch
1/4 cup sugar 
1 cup fresh or frozen fruit
1 Tbsp lemon juice

  1. Whisk water, cornstarch and sugar together in a small saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  3. Stir in fruit (strawberries, peaches, or blueberries, etc) and bring to a boil again. Puree in blender if smooth texture is desired.
  4. Stir in lemon juice. Serve with pancakes or waffles.
Makes 2 cups.
