Meetings and Events:
Asheville Gluten Intolerance Group (Asheville GIG)
All meetings will be held at 6:30 pm at Carolina Day School unless otherwise noted.
May 18 Dr. Matthew Wood will be updating the support group on Celiac
Disease.
June 13 Gluten Free Potluck Picnic to be held 1:00-4:00 at the home of
Sheila Horine
July 20 Restaurant outing at The Corner Kitchen
August 17 Amy Joy Lanou will speak about her book: Building Bone Vitality
September 21 A tasting. Type of food to be determined
October 19 Laurie Steenwyck, RD will be making a presentation
November TBA Holiday Gluten Free Potluck Dinner
December There will be no meeting so that you and your family may enjoy the
holidays. See you in January!

From Interstate 40, take exit 50 south onto Hendersonville Road (U.S. 25),
drive approximately 2.2 miles to Carolina Day School on the right.
From I-26, take exit 37 (old exit 6) onto Long Shoals Road and continue to
Hendersonville Road (U.S. 25). Turn left onto Hendersonville Road and go
approximately 3 miles to the entrance on the left. You will pass under the
Blue Ridge Parkway and the campus will be at the next stoplight.
When you enter the campus, bear right and then take the first right into the
parking lot for the Upper School. People are requested to enter by the doors
on the far left of the front of the building (when facing it.) If you get
lost or need further directions the day of the meeting, please call Sheila
